The main freeform swimming pool is designed with a rock garden waterfall and 16-ft. waterslide. Skirting the active area are a 12-person spa tub, an oceanfront pool and two children’s pools. An additional freeform adults pool sits adjacent to a second 12-person spa tub and picnic area with complimentary gas barbecue grills.

The resort’s 200-ft. beach frontage includes a private area for sunbathers with thatched-roof palapas and umbrellas, and an offshore trampoline raft. Independent operators offer rentals for parasailing, banana boating, personal watercraft and scuba diving.

Villa del Palmar’s Bay Breeze Spa pampers with facials, massage therapy, body scrubs, hydrotherapy and salon services. Oceanfront massage is offered on a grassy point adjacent to the beach. The resort’s fitness center features both women’s and men’s saunas, nine-person Jacuzzi, cardio machines, weight machines, seven treadmills and free weights.

Other recreation options include three tennis courts (two lit for night play), complimentary pool activities, supervised Kids Club activities for children 5 – 12, courts for volleyball and basketball, shuffleboard, and lessons in cooking, bartending and dancing.
